For Wirthwein Medical, training in the company is a heartfelt concern and has been an integral part of the corporate philosophy for several decades. Our apprentice Fritz Durstewitz is a training ambassador at the Darmstadt Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK) and passionately holds lectures to inform students about career start and future opportunities. As a result of this special commitment, the Darmstadt Chamber of Industry and Commerce presents Wirthwein Medical with this year's "Training Ambassador Company of the Year" award.

Trainees give a jump start

Apprenticeship ambassadors provide high school graduates with essential insight into the vocational training process. Many students do not yet have any specific ideas about their career choice and options. In order to give students a better understanding of their prospects, Fritz Durstewitz lectures on a wide range of topics: How did he decide on which vocational training he wants to do? What does his day-to-day work look like? What are the benefits of training? And many more. In the process, the students benefit from first-hand information and can raise any unanswered questions or concerns during a school lesson.

In addition to the deployment of the training ambassadors, Wirthwein Medical regularly visits partner schools in the region and presents the training company as well as the training opportunities "For us, it is very important that we present the training opportunities directly to the students in person. This way, the students get to know the job profiles better," says trainer Christopher Arras.

Christoph Arras, trainer in toolmaking, and Fritz Durstewitz, apprentice toolmaker, are delighted with the award.
