Wirthwein Medical expands clean room production

A look inside the ninth ISO Class 7 cleanroom.

Sustainable growth in Mühltal

In order to meet the high customer requirements for pharmaceutical and diagnostic applications, with further production capacities, the clean room production according to DIN EN ISO 14644-1 (class 7) was enlarged by another 250 sqm at the beginning of the year. The fully automated assembly lines placed here join individual plastic components into subassemblies in a fully automated assembly process until final packing.

Safe cleanroom concept

Only with the right planning can new cleanroom concepts be implemented in a professional and value-adding manner. Based on Wirthwein Medical's cleanroom experience from numerous cleanroom projects, the responsible employees implement the complete project from the first drawing to the actual construction of the cleanroom together with qualified suppliers. The focus here is on safety, quality and energy efficiency.

An additional connecting tunnel between two existing ISO Class 7 cleanrooms was also installed and ensures even more efficient internal processes. Employees now enjoy shorter walking distances and improved material flows.

Expansion in the field of pharmaceutical production

Managing Director Dr. Thomas Jakob continues to look to the future with optimism, because the next larger cleanroom is already being planned. Another new ISO Class 7 cleanroom for pharmaceutical applications is to be built at the Mühltal plant.

The new clean room was completed at the end of last year and is already in operation.
