Plant development in the home stretch; first customer orders secured
Wirthwein Medikal A.Ş. Türkiye has made significant progress in recent months in establishing its new facility in Çerkezköy. Construction is in its final phase, and the new cleanroom production facility has been completed. The team is currently working on the technical infrastructure, the office areas, and the interior finishing. Pre-validation of the cleanroom is scheduled to be completed in early October 2026.
Successful start of production and first customer shipment
Alongside the plant development, the company achieved another major milestone last week. Wirthwein Medikal Türkiye successfully completed its first series production outside of the cleanroom and shipped its first customer order. With this shipment, the company also generated its first revenue.
For the on-site team, this is a significant first milestone. The initial customer shipment confirms that the established processes are functioning and that the facility is increasingly transitioning to full-scale operations. “For us, the establishment of cleanroom production in Turkey represents another important step in our planned international expansion for our customers in the Medical division of the Wirthwein Group,” emphasizes Dr. Thomas Jakob, Managing Director of Wirthwein Medical.
With the progress made, the Çerkezköy facility continues to gain strategic importance. The presence in Turkey creates additional capacity for the corporate group, strengthens Wirthwein Medical’s international competitiveness, and opens up attractive growth prospects in Turkey and the MENA region.
“With our first series production run and first customer delivery, we have demonstrated that we are not only establishing a new facility but are already successfully manufacturing products for our customers. We will build on this in the coming months and bring additional projects to the site,” explains Muhammet Tekin, Managing Director of Wirthwein Medikal Türkiye.
