Riegler opens new modern training workshop for future-oriented training

Ausbildungswerkstatt

Every year Riegler GmbH & Co. KG in Mühltal trains around 22 young people in the commercial and industrial areas. It is of course particularly exciting for the trainees if they can implement their own projects independently in a team. With this in mind, a new training workshop in the mold making shop has been created.

Experience has shown that the best learning success is achieved when the young people feel comfortable at the training place. It is therefore important that the work places are modern and ergonomically designed. In the new training workshop, eight fully equipped workbenches, six modern machine stations and a training room with modern presentation technology have been created on a total area of 260 m². Among other things, the machine stations are equipped with computer-controlled lathes and manual milling machines.

Best opportunities for successful training

In addition to their work places in the training workshop, the trainees also have operational phases with the skilled workers in mold making. The experienced professionals can give their young colleagues individual experiences, various tips and tricks and something about professional behavior here. In addition, trainees learn about the special requirements for customer-specific molds. "It is important to us to provide a modern and special framework at the start and also to guarantee practical training during the operational phases in mold construction", says trainer Christoph Arras. The prospective skilled workers also pass through the metalworking shop, quality assurance and design departments. This broad training is intended to provide a better understanding of the interrelationships between business processes. In the design department, for example, they learn how mold drawings are created and structured in order to be able to produce the complex injection molds exactly according to drawings in their later working life. The young people realize exciting projects during the training: Among other things, they manufacture their own workpieces and thus practice their key qualifications. Trainees are additionally supported with a wide range of internal and external training courses. For example, the mold makers complete the certificate course "IHK (German Chamber of Industry and Commerce) Specialist for Control Technology".

More than just training and very good chances of employment

However, the medical technology specialist Riegler provides "more than just training": Every year, for example, there is an apprentice excursion where trainees from different departments can get to know each other even better. The young people report on their impressions and experiences at various training fairs in order to talk to the pupils who are about to choose a career as equals. Furthermore, the Wirthwein Group offers certificate bonuses, various sporting events, company celebrations and a wide range of further education and training opportunities. Due to the continuous growth of Riegler GmbH & Co. KG in Mühltal, well-trained skilled workers are always being sought. It has therefore been part of the philosophy for decades of the Wirthwein family business, whose subsidiary Riegler GmbH & Co. KG has been taking over the young specialists into permanent employment after the end of the training since 2005.
